The current generation of our #1 selling excavator. The Rippa R15-5 delivers about 50 percent more operating weight and significantly improved stability and hydraulic control over smaller entry-level machines. Powered by a Kubota D722 water-cooled diesel engine, it runs quieter than gas and handles high heat without complaint.
The R15-5 moves to full pilot controls across drive, swing, boom, and thumb, where the R15-4 relied on linkage-driven inputs for some functions. Auxiliary controls shift to joystick buttons for more intuitive attachment operation. Operator comfort gets real upgrades too: cab-mounted lighting added alongside the boom light, a new rubber floor mat, ISO/SAE switchable control modes, and an optional enclosed cab with ROPS/FOPS certification and thermal insulation.
